A week under sail · the Cyclades
Imagine a week where your hotel moves with you - waking in a different bay each morning, the whole Aegean yours to wander.
Blue domes and whitewashed towns, famous islands and empty coves you reach only by sea. The Cyclades run on island-hopping energy: a lively harbour one night, a deserted anchorage the next, dolphins on the crossing in between. Distances are longer and the meltemi wind gives the sailing real character - this is the region for guests who want the icons, the nightlife and the thrill of a proper passage under sail.
Tap a point on the map to see it up close - this isn't a route.
Icons you'll actually recognise
Mykonos's windmills, Santorini's caldera, Paros's Naoussa - the postcard islands, up close.
A new island, a new mood
A vibrant harbour one night, an empty anchorage the next.
Dolphins on the crossing
The longer passages between islands often come with company.
Coves only a boat can reach
Clear water and empty beaches the ferries and day-trip boats never reach.
Layers of history
Ancient Delos, old windmills, chapels tucked into the hillsides.
Long lunches, lively harbours
Fresh Cycladic cooking by day, tavernas and bars by night.
Life onboard
A swim before the crowds
Long lunches at anchor
Sunsets you sail into
Bays only a boat can reach
Village nights
Mykonos and Santorini draw the crowds in high summer - your route balances an icon stop with a quiet island close by, so you get both without losing a day to queues.
May – June
Quieter islands, calmer crossings, and some of the best light of the year.
July – August
The Cyclades at their liveliest - brisker afternoon sailing, warm evenings, harbours full of energy.
September – October
The crowds thin out again while the sea is still warm - a favourite stretch for returning guests.

No. Every Cyclades charter we run is crewed - a professional captain sails the yacht and a hostess cooks and looks after you - so no licence, qualification or prior experience is needed. You simply enjoy the trip.
The season runs May to October. June and September bring warm water and calmer seas; July and August are the hottest and busiest, with livelier sailing. Your captain always picks the most sheltered route for the conditions.
Charters start from Athens (Alimos Marina), usually departing on a Saturday. One week (Sat to Sat) is the classic length; two weeks lets you reach the far south. Custom durations are possible - just ask.
There is no fixed route. A typical week mixes famous names like Mykonos, Paros and Naxos with quiet coves you can only reach by sea. The exact itinerary is shaped with your captain each day, around the wind and what you feel like.
Yes - the crew handles all the sailing, so it works well for families and complete beginners. The Cyclades does involve longer open-water passages; if you would prefer the calmest, gentlest option, the nearby Saronic Gulf is an easier introduction.
It depends on the catamaran. Our crewed fleet comfortably sleeps up to around 12 guests in ensuite cabins, plus the crew. Tell us your group size and we will match the right yacht.
The yacht and its crew - a captain and a hostess who sail and cook for you - are included. Running costs such as fuel, food provisioning and marina fees vary by package; an advisor will give you a clear, itemised breakdown before you book.
Tell us who's coming and what you love - our advisors will shape the right week and the right yacht around you.
